Bliss Psychological Services Covid-19 Plan:
We are considered “essential” under Pennsylvania guidelines and are allowed to remain open per the Governor’s order. However, our office is operating at a heightened level of caution. Bliss Psychological Services LLC (BPS) will continue to take steps to minimize the spread of the virus and to keep our patients and staff as healthy as possible.
We are now offering telehealth evaluations by using technology to deliver care at a distance for evaluations in which we feel it is appropriate. The Federal government has deregulated the security of the electronic communications, but BPS takes every precaution possible to ensure security. It is strongly encouraged that your evaluation be conducted through these virtual methods when possible.
That being said, some appointments will need to occur in person. Since BPS is a freestanding private practice with a low volume of patients, we are more easily able to control our environment as compared to hospitals or larger settings. We will not have more than one client/family in the office at any time, and the number of clients present in any given day will be very low. The office will be thoroughly disinfected in between every client/family. As of 5/1/20, we now require patients and staff to adhere to the CDC guidelines to wear a face mask/cloth covering for in-person evaluations.
Finally, you are asked to use the provided hand sanitizer upon arrival and leaving, and you should bring your own pen. If you cannot bring your own pen to the office, then a new one will be provided to you which you will be asked to keep.
If you or your child are sick, have a temperature, or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, do NOT appear for your in-person appointment. Also, if you have been around anyone who has been sick or tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days, please plan to reschedule your appointment or conduct your appointment remotely (if possible). Finally, if you have travelled out of the area or been in a large crowd within the past 14 days, please contact the office in advance of your appointment to discuss options.
Thank you for taking the time to read our new policies and procedures. Stay well, Dr. Bliss
